Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, altering, and repairing garments to meet clients’ specifications and standards.. The position is paid and suitable for both experienced professionals and those seeking an internship in tailoring.
Duties
- Measure clients accurately to determine garment specification.
- Sew, alter, and repair clothing items with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure all garments meet quality standards before delivery or fitting
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including tools and equipment
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on tailoring options
- Keep records of measurements, alterations, and orders for future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience in tailoring, dressmaking, or garment alteration is preferred but not essential for interns willing to learn
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of quality
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
