Job Summary
KM Group are seeking a dedicated and hardworking storeman/ yard operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the depot, ensuring efficient operations and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work as part of a team to meet daily operational goals. .
Duties
- Sign plant and vehicles in and out to operatives' whilst managing stock levels
- Manage and record all deliveries from supplierS.
- Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring accurate handling of materials.
- Handle materials with care, following all safety protocols during the process.
- Maintain an organised warehouse and yard environment by keeping areas tidy and free from hazards.
- Utilise a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and
- Engage in heavy lifting as required, adhering to safe lifting techniques to prevent injury.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with materials handling processes and equipment is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
- A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork is crucial for success in this position.
