Position: Domiciliary Care Manager
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £32,000 to 35,000 per annum depending on experience
iCare Living is an established care provider, and I am pleased to share that we are opening a new arm to our current Complex Care and Supported Living business. We are currently seeking an experienced Manager to lead our new Domiciliary homecare services across Birmingham.
We are seeking a seasoned leader with experience managing high-volume, growing domiciliary care services. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations, manage commissioned care contracts and KPIs, ensure CQC compliance, and lead a diverse team. We are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge and is happy to work alongside our carers to ensure the highest standards of service.
You will be based at our headquarters in Great Barr, Birmingham and will manage Domiciliary clients across the wider Birmingham area, divided as follows:
Area 1: Erdington, Perry Common, Walmley, Castle Vale, Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks, and Reddicap.
Area 2: Perry Barr, Great Barr, Handsworth, Nechells, Aston, City Centre, and Harborne.
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Birmingham B44 8HX - Mainly office based and out of hours oncall service will need to be held to support the wrap around service
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30
Salary: £30,000 – £32,000 per year
Key responsibilities include:
· Oversee Domiciliary Care Packages: Lead the management and delivery of Domiciliary care packages to ensure clients receive high-quality care.
· Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all care services comply with CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
· Service Development: Identify opportunities for service improvement and contribute to the growth and of the Domiciliary care services.
· Team Support: Manage staff rotas and provide essential support to the team as the on-call
· Recruitment: Lead recruitment initiatives to support team growth
· Client Relations: Conduct client visits and formal assessments to ensure ongoing satisfaction and appropriate care levels.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in managing growing Domiciliary care packages is essential. Must be willing to hold the on call as the business grows and cover calls as required
- Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring care staff.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and the care team.
- Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple care packages, assess risks, and plan accordingly.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Sound knowledge of CQC regulations and experience maintaining high standards of care compliance.
- Team Player: Confident in working with multidisciplinary teams and motivating a Care Coordinator to ensure smooth operations.
- Experience managing local authority or commissioned homecare contracts at scale.
- We already have a Registered Manager in post. Consequently, you will not be expected to register with the CQC
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent preferred but willing to take the right person to the level needed.
- Full driving license and access to a vehicle is Essential.
- This is a permanent, ongoing role. Applicants must have full, unrestricted work rights in the UK and the ability to work here on a permanent basis without employer sponsorship.
- You must hold a Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service to start this role.
- *If you do not currently have an Enhanced Adult and Child DBS on the update service, you will be responsible for the cost of obtaining one*.
