Role Overview
The Rudding Park team's core purpose is to create timeless memories and instinctive care in exceptional spaces.
To be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Hotel and House Receptions providing the highest level of service to guests at all times.
What we are looking for:

- Have experience of working in a 4 star hotel or similar
- Have excellent spoken and written English.
- Possess a confident telephone manner
- Possess excellent numerical and written skills
- Have knowledge and experience of working with computer systems and Microsoft Office programmes, including Word and Excel
- A knowledge of Harrogate and the surrounding areas is beneficial, as you will deal with queries regarding local attractions and help guests with travel arrangements as necessary.
- Offer a warm welcome at all times in a friendly and professional manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner.
- Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment.
- Good administrative skills and IT literacy.
- Discreet, diplomatic, reliable and trustworthy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests to the hotel and carry their luggage
- Manage guest expectations and go the extra mile at all times
- Provide support for all busy peak time
- Champion Guest Gossip and ensure that all bits of information regarding a guest is placed on their profile
- Arrange taxi, give directions, take messages
- Ensure that all public areas are of the standard expected undertaking any housekeeping duties as required
- Delivery newspapers to the lodges, hotel bedrooms
- Escort lodge arrivals to the lodge and explain facilities
- Show our guests to their bedrooms and explain points of interest and bedroom facilities
- Be responsible for knowing what is going on the business day ensuring that you are aware of what guests are coming in, what events are taking place at Rudding Park
- Ensure that guest requests are carried out at all times in a timely manor
- On arrival on your shift, read the function sheets, fact sheet, memo file
