Sort Line Operative
Location: Nantycaws, Carmarthen, SA32 8BG
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Overtime: £19.06 per hour after 42.5 hours worked
Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm
OR
- Monday to Saturday, 6:00am – 3:00pm
About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Sort Line Operative to join a busy waste and recycling facility in Nantycaws, Carmarthen.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work and wants to contribute to improving recycling and reducing waste. You will play a key role in ensuring recyclable materials are sorted efficiently while maintaining a safe and tidy working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and separate recyclable, reusable, and non-recyclable materials from a moving conveyor belt.
- Remove contamination from the waste stream.
- Ensure recyclable materials are sorted accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work as part of a team to achieve daily production targets.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable carrying out manual work and standing for extended periods.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Previous experience in waste, recycling, production, or warehouse environments is beneficial but not essential.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
What We Offer

- Choice of two shift patterns:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 6:00pm.
- Monday to Saturday, 6:00am – 3:00pm.
- Weekly pay.
