Are you intrigued by the world of gymnastics and eager to embark on a journey of sharing your knowledge and skills with young aspiring athletes? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as Coaching in a variety of classes, including, recreational gymnastics, Squad/development gymnastics, Parkour and Tumbling . This role also presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our club by assisting in preschool gymnastics as we expand. If you have a genuine interest in gymnastics, a desire to work with children, and a willingness to learn and grow in a supportive environment, this opportunity is perfect for you!
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality recreational gymnastics and parkour coaching sessions to children of varying ages and skill levels.
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that promote skill development, physical fitness, and a love for gymnastics.
- Provide a safe and inclusive environment for participants, ensuring their welfare and well-being at all times.
- Foster positive relationships with athletes, parents, and guardians, promoting open communication and addressing any concerns.
- Assess individual progress and provide constructive feedback to help athletes improve their performance.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff members to coordinate events, demonstrations, and performances.
- Assist in preschool gymnastics as the club grows, potentially involving daytime working hours.
Requirements:
- Trainee's accepted
- Minimum Level 1 qualification in gymnastics coaching. - Assistant coach role
- Minimum Level 2 qualification in gymnastics coaching. - Lead Coach role
- A minimum of two years of coaching experience in gymnastics.
- Full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- Up-to-date First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
- A genuine interest in gymnastics and a strong desire to work with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- Patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt coaching techniques to meet individual needs.
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual, with a commitment to delivering high-quality coaching sessions.
Working Hours:
Flexible shifts can select from any of the following depending on qualifications
Tuesday - 3.30-8.30pm
Thursday 3.30-8pm
Saturday 9am-5pm
Pay is dependant on qualifications and experience
