Ballycommon is recruiting an experienced Civils Foreman to join a major infrastructure project at Sizewell C. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on supervisor with a strong background in heavy civils, earthworks and reinforced concrete works.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading site teams, coordinating daily activities and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily site operations.
- Lead gangs of operatives and subcontractors across civils activities.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with project specifications.
- Deliver daily briefings and toolbox talks.
- Monitor productivity, quality and programme performance.
- Coordinate plant, labour and materials to maximise efficiency.
- Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers and other project stakeholders.
- Ensure RAMS are followed and all health and safety standards are maintained.
- Complete site records, permits and daily reports as required.
- Promote a positive safety culture and high standards of housekeeping.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Foreman on large civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete, drainage, earthworks or highways works.
- Ability to lead and motivate site teams.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Black or Gold CSCS card.
- SSSTS/SMSTS qualification.
- Previous experience working on Sizewell C, Hinkley Point C or other major infrastructure projects.
- First Aid at Work.
- Temporary Works Supervisor.
- CPCS/NPORS plant tickets (advantageous).
