Design Technician
Full Time – 41.5 Hour Basic Week
Salary – Competitive / Negotiable dependent upon experience
A leader within the UK construction market offering bespoke joinery solutions for Commercial, Residential and Specialist projects, we are looking for an innovative and passionate individual to lead and motivate collaborative teams as a Design Technician in our London and Bildeston office.
This is a dynamic role, requiring simultaneous creation of high quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by architects and designers across multiple projects.
This role involves working very closely with Design Managers and other key members of the project team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
- Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols
- Update drawings to internal and external comments
- Take ownership and responsibility for the design of the joinery elements allocated to you right through to project competition
- Checking drawings against architects details and ensuring the latest architects drawings are being worked to.
- Assist with production queries and issues needing technical support
- Assist in developing work processes within continuous improvement work

What are we looking for?
We are looking for switched-on individuals, with strong IT skills, and experience using AutoCAD or Solid works.
Experienced within the joinery industry, producing high end detailed joinery / manufacturing drawings is desirable however not essential as full training will be provided.
You will need to be highly motivated, a good communicator, able to demonstrate an astute attention to detail along with having a logical approach to work.
