We Are The Stockyard!
About Us - The Stockyard Truckstop
The Stockyard Truckstop is a long-established, family-run business with over 26 years at the heart of our community.
More than just a place to stop, we’re proud to offer a welcoming pub and restaurant serving hearty, home-cooked meals, our popular carvery, and a friendly bar where customers can relax and enjoy great company.
With parking for over 200 trucks, we’ve built a reputation as a trusted stopover for drivers from across the country - and just as importantly, as a welcoming place for locals to eat, drink, and socialise.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for an experienced, flexible and hard-working Multi-Skilled Bar Person / Kitchen Assistant to join our team at The Stockyard.
This is a varied role designed to support both the bar and kitchen areas of the business, particularly during holidays, sickness, busy periods and general staff absence. Because of this, flexibility is essential.
We need someone who is confident working with customers, comfortable in a busy hospitality environment, and willing to support wherever they are needed. One shift may involve serving drinks behind the bar, while another may involve helping in the kitchen, supporting restaurant service, clearing tables or assisting with general food preparation.
Our customers are at the heart of what we do, so we need someone who takes pride in delivering great service, creating a warm welcome, and helping to keep both the bar and restaurant running smoothly.
You’ll be joining a supportive and experienced team who are happy to share their knowledge and help you succeed. In return, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, enthusiastic, adaptable, and willing to go the extra mile.
