Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to provide our clients with the highest level of service.
Duties
- Diagnose vehicle issues using appropriate diagnostic tools and techniques.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
- Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as needed for repairs.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services, providing excellent customer service throughout the process.
- Follow schematics for complex repairs and modifications as required.
- Weld components as needed for repairs or modifications.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for various vehicle systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanour when interacting with clients.
- Willingness to perform heavy lifting as required for certain tasks.
- Previous experience in equipment repair is advantageous but not essential.
