Marketing Campaigns Manager
Freelance / Self-Employed Contract | Remote | UK
WEA Learn is looking for a hands-on Marketing Campaigns Manager to help drive bookings across our adult learning courses and events.
If you've successfully marketed courses, events, training programmes, festivals, memberships or similar, we'd love to hear from you. We're particularly interested in people with experience in adult education, charities, training, universities, arts, culture, events or membership organisations.
We're more interested in what you've delivered than the qualifications you hold. Show us the campaigns you've run, the audiences you've reached and the results you've achieved.
The Role
You'll plan, deliver and optimise marketing campaigns that increase awareness, engagement and, most importantly, bookings.
Working alongside our External Communications Team, you'll use email marketing, social media, digital promotion and Eventbrite to help learners discover and book our courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver marketing campaigns for courses and events.
- Create engaging email campaigns that drive bookings.
- Manage and optimise Eventbrite listings.
- Use social media and digital channels to generate leads and sales.
- Identify and target the right audiences.
- Work with tutors to turn course content into compelling marketing messages.
- Monitor bookings and recommend actions to improve performance.
- Test, learn and optimise campaigns using data and insight.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships and audience growth.
- Report on bookings, conversion and revenue.
About You
You'll have experience in a role such as: Marketing Officer, Marketing Executive, Campaign Executive, Campaign Manager, Marketing Manager, Events Marketing Manager.
You'll also:
- Have a proven track record of delivering successful marketing campaigns.
- Be confident with email marketing and audience segmentation.
- Know how to use social media to drive enquiries and bookings.
- Ideally have experience using Eventbrite.
- Be commercially minded and results-focused.
- Be comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
What Success Looks Like
By 31 December 2026, you'll help us achieve:
- A successful Autumn marketing campaign
- 2,000 course bookings
- Increased visibility of our Eventbrite course collections
- Effective email and digital advertising campaigns
- Improved conversion and revenue performance
Contract
We're open to:
- Fixed-term project work
- Set days per week
- Flexible support around campaign peaks
- Remote working, with occasional in-person meetings where beneficial.
