Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing buses, coaches, or other large passenger vehicles. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to ensure the safety and reliability of our fleet.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of PCVs to identify any mechanical issues.
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, and electrical systems.
Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tyre rotations.
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for maintenance and repairs.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Collaborate with other team members to maintain a safe and efficient workshop environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a PCV or HGV mechanic or similar role.
Strong knowledge of commercial systems and components.
Proficiency in diagnostic tools and equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and clients professionally.
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications are desirable.
