Position Description:
Responsible for driving business growth by identifying new opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and increasing revenue. The role involves lead generation, market research, sales strategy execution, and representing the company to clients, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and long-term business partnerships.
Responsibilities to include:
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify potential clients and new business opportunities
- Research market trends and competitors
- Generate leads through cold calling, emails, networking, and social media
- Maintain a database of prospective clients
- Develop opportunities within agreed priority sectors including data centres and energy infrastructure
- Build and maintain a qualified and realistic pipeline aligned to margin and company capability
- Qualify opportunities using the agreed internal framework before progressing to full bid stage
- Prioritise higher value repeatable work rather than reactive low margin enquiries
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Understand client needs and offer suitable solutions
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations
- Ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships
- Support structured account development for key contractors and end users
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve sales targets and KPIs
- Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations
- Negotiate contracts and close deals
- Follow up on pending opportunities
- Maintain gross margin discipline in line with company expectations
- Contribute feedback from lost bids to improve future win rates
Market Research & Strategy
- Analyse market conditions and customer demands
- Identify new markets and growth areas
- Provide feedback to management on customer needs
- Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with estimating, design and projects teams to ensure submissions are commercially and operationally deliverable
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts
- Update the SAP system regularly
- Track and monitor your own monthly KPI’s and strive to surpass targets month on month
Brand Representation
- Represent the company at events, trade shows, and networking meetings
- Promote company products/services professionally
Position: Full Time with an immediate start
Hours of work: Mon- Thursday 9.00am -17.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.00pm
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Holidays: Full time - 25 days per year (Holiday year Jan – Dec) + 8 Bank holidays, Pro rata for part time.
Life Insurance: 3 times basic salary whilst in employment
Pension Scheme: Automatic enrolment if meet criteria, 5% Employee, 3% Employer. After 1 year in April – Age related up to max 6.5%.
