Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic (mot tester an advantage but not essential) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. The position suitable for individuals with a passion for vehicle maintenance and repair. Overtime sometimes available and paid at time and a half, bonus payments and the opportunity for further income available. 8.30-5 Monday to Friday
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose complex problems
- Assemble or replace vehicle parts as required, ensuring proper fitment and function
- No welding
- Assist with routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre changes and fluid replacements
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally
Skills
- Strong understanding of vehicle schematics and mechanical systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Experience in assembly, disassembly, and equipment repair processes
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for various vehicle types
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams accurately
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods
- Capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
