Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. Duties
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and preparing ingredients as needed
- Cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to meet hygiene standards
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently and promptly
- Restocking supplies such as cutlery, crockery, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth workflow during service hours
- Supporting the culinary team with organisational tasks to maintain a tidy kitchen environment
- Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Ensuring compliance with all food safety standards and health & safety policies at all times
Experience
Previous experience in a hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the industry. Skills that are beneficial include:
- Food preparation and basic cooking skills
- Experience working in restaurants, hotels or catering services
- Familiarity with kitchen operations and hygiene standards
- Customer service or serving experience within a hospitality setting
