About the Role:
Are you passionate about turning data into meaningful insight? We're looking for a proactive and analytical Data and Performance Officer to support performance reporting, data quality improvement, responding accurately to frequent information requests, and to undertake analysis to support evidence-based decision making across Derbyshire Fire & Rescue Service.
What you'll do
Support the production and ongoing development of performance dashboards, reports and management information.
Analyse data trends and performance across Prevention, Protection, Response and Support Services.
Produce statistical analysis to support strategic decision making.
Respond to information requests, including Freedom of Information requests.
Support data quality, governance, GDPR compliance and implementation of the NFCC Fire Data Management Standard.
Extract, validate and report data using SQL and reporting tools.
What we're looking for
Strong analytical and skills.
Experience working with data, reporting and performance information.
Advanced Excel skills and an eye for detail.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly to a range of audiences.
Knowledge of SQL, Power BI and reporting systems is desirable.
Relevant analytical qualification or equivalent experience.
There will be a requirement for some travel for which a pool car will be provided.

HNC/Certificate of Higher Education (CertHE) /BTEC or relevant demonstrable experience and training, with significant analytical or statistical element
