Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety at all times
- Build strong relationships with children to support their individual needs and encourage confidence
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about children's progress and daily experiences
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming nursery environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Lead by example in demonstrating management and leadership skills within the team
- Support the professional development of colleagues through mentorship and collaborative planning
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and childcare best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Demonstrated management and leadership abilities within a childcare environment
- Valid childcare or nursery qualification (e.g., Level 3 Childcare Qualification or equivalent)
- Ability to drive is preferred to facilitate transportation needs when required
- Passionate about early childhood development with a proactive approach to creating a positive learning atmosphere
Pay: £29,000.00-£31,500.00 per year
