Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Driver's Mate to join our logistics team. This role involves assisting with the delivery process, supporting the driver, and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, possess strong communication skills, and be capable of heavy lifting. Responsibilities
- Assist the driver in navigating routes and ensuring timely deliveries to various locations.
- Help with loading and unloading goods, often involving heavy lifting, in a safe and organised manner.
- Support the driver in conducting vehicle checks and maintaining safety standards throughout journeys.
- Communicate effectively with clients during deliveries, providing excellent customer service.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is accurately completed and filed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Follow all health and safety protocols during transit and loading activities.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Experience in logistics and warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
- Organised, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
