Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics and padding materials for upholstery projects
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble and upholster bed frames according to specifications
- Fabricate custom components and make adjustments to ensure perfect fit and finish
- Operate sewing machines to attach fabric coverings securely to frames or padding
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and finished products safely within the warehouse setting
- Conduct quality checks throughout the upholstery process to maintain high standards
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools confidently
- Proficiency in sewing techniques relevant to upholstery work
- Experience with fabrication processes, including cutting, shaping, and assembling materials
- Warehouse experience is preferred for efficient material handling and storage management
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Familiarity with assembly procedures for furniture or similar products
- Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
