Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for operating dumper trucks to transport materials around the site efficiently and safely. You will also assist with groundworks, ensuring the site remains organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards. Duties
- Operate dumper trucks to move soil, gravel, waste, and other materials across the construction site
- Assist with groundworks including leveling, digging, and site preparation tasks
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any faults promptly
- Follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Assist with site tidiness by clearing debris and organizing materials as needed
- Support team members with additional manual tasks to keep projects progressing smoothly
- Complete daily logs of work performed and report any incidents or hazards immediately
Experience
- Proven experience operating dumper trucks or similar construction machinery
- Knowledge of groundworks procedures and site safety regulations
- Valid certification for operating heavy machinery (e.g., CPCS or NPORS) preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site
