The Code Zone runs coding clubs for kids aged 6–16 across Essex and Hertfordshire. Think less "boring IT lesson", more "after-school gaming club where you accidentally learn to code." We're award-winning, we're growing, and we're on the hunt for two fantastic mentors to join our IRL team.
We're hiring 2 Local Club Mentors to work together as a team across our expanding Essex and Hertfordshire club network! You'll be running hands-on coding sessions, helping kids aged 6–16 build games using Scratch and Python. Sessions involve setting up kit, welcoming kids, walking the room making sure every child gets help, troubleshooting projects, and generally bringing a positive and fun energy to the room!
Sessions run across Harlow, Loughton, Hertford, Broxbourne and Cheshunt — you'll need your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence. Weekday afternoons and evenings during term time (roughly 3:30–8:00pm on session days). During the school holidays, we switch from coding clubs to gaming sessions.
£15/hr for all time worked including setup and pack-down. Travel expenses on top if you take on the equipment transport role.
