Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment using hand tools and power tools.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute installations and repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical components to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to complete electrical tasks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for documentation purposes.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrician with solid knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wire strippers, as well as power tools like drills and saws.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices in the industry.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Valid electrician’s license or certification as required by local regulations is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work at heights when necessary.
