Are you an experienced Conveyancer with 5+ years' experience looking for your next opportunity in Newcastle?
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and highly regarded property team, taking responsibility for a varied residential conveyancing caseload and working closely with clients throughout the entire transaction.
The role would suit an experienced Conveyancer, Residential Property Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer who is confident managing matters independently and is looking for a long-term opportunity within a supportive and professional environment.
You'll have the opportunity to work on a broad range of residential property matters, develop strong client relationships and play an important role within a successful property team.
The Role
You will take ownership of your own caseload, managing residential property transactions from initial instruction through to completion while providing a consistently high level of client service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction through to completion
- Handling residential sales and purchases
- Dealing with freehold and leasehold transactions
- Managing remortgages and transfers of equity
- Reviewing and reporting on property titles
- Reviewing contracts and property documentation
- Ordering and reviewing searches
- Raising, reviewing and responding to enquiries
- Advising clients throughout the conveyancing process
- Dealing with exchange of contracts and completion
- Liaising with lenders, mortgage brokers, estate agents and other professional advisers
- Dealing with Land Registry requirements and post-completion matters
- Identifying and managing potential legal and transactional risks
- Providing clear and practical advice to clients
- Maintaining accurate and compliant files
- Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and within required timescales
- Managing client expectations and providing regular updates
- Building long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts
- Working closely with colleagues and contributing to the wider success of the property department
What We're Looking For
We're looking for an experienced property professional who is confident managing a caseload independently and understands the importance of delivering both technically strong advice and excellent client service.
You will ideally have:
- At least 5 years' experience in Residential Conveyancing
- Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong technical knowledge of the residential property process
- Experience dealing with freehold and leasehold transactions
- Good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction through to completion
- Experience dealing with lenders, estate agents and other third parties
- Strong knowledge of contracts, searches, enquiries and title issues
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client care and relationship management abilities
- The ability to manage a busy workload and competing deadlines
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Commercial awareness and a professional approach
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
