Ideally, we are looking for an experienced engineer who is confident working independently and can contribute from the outset. However, we are also willing to consider candidates who have experience in some, rather than all, of the systems we work with.
We would also welcome applications from qualified or experienced electricians who are interested in moving into the fire and security industry. Suitable training and support can be provided to the right person.
Our work is mainly based throughout Bath, Bristol and Wiltshire, although some travel across the wider South West may occasionally be required.

Strong fire alarm experience would be particularly desirable, although experience across every discipline is not essential.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
● Installing, commissioning, servicing and maintaining fire and security systems
● Diagnosing and repairing system faults
● Carrying out planned preventative maintenance visits
● Completing relevant job sheets, service records and certification
● Communicating professionally with customers and site representatives
● Working independently and as part of the wider engineering team
● Ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to a high standard
● Complying with relevant British Standards and company procedures
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have:
● Previous experience within the fire and security industry, particularly with fire alarm systems
● Experience in one or more of the disciplines listed above
● Good fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
● A professional and customer-focused approach
● The ability to work independently and manage their own workload
● Good communication and organisational skills
● A full UK driving licence
● A strong attention to detail and pride in their workmanship
Relevant industry qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential where suitable practical experience can be demonstrated.
Applications are also encouraged from electricians who have strong electrical knowledge, a willingness to learn and an interest in developing a career within the fire and security industry.
What we provide
● Competitive salary based on experience and ability
● Company vehicle
● Fuel card
● All necessary tools and test equipment
● Company workwear and PPE
● Training and opportunities for further development
● A varied workload across commercial, residential, educational and other premises
● Support from an experienced and approachable team
● Long-term career opportunities within a growing local company
