Job Title: Residential Children’s Team Leader
Location: Wigan, WN2
Salary: Approx. £33,926 per annum based on 160 hours per month and 11 sleep-ins per month
Hourly Rate: £14.67 per hour
Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent
Sleep-ins: £30 per sleep-in
Service: Children’s Home
Service Users: Young people aged 8–18
Qualifications Required: Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred)
Experience Required: Experience within an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home is preferred

Number of beds: 3 young people currently living in the home
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a warm, patient and supportive Team Leader who is passionate about helping children and young people achieve positive outcomes.
You will support young people with their daily routines, including preparing for school, mealtimes and activities. You will help create a safe, nurturing and homely environment while building meaningful relationships and providing emotional support.
The role includes planning and participating in activities, maintaining accurate records and leading by example to ensure high standards of care are delivered at all times.

- You do not hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
- Your only qualification is a Level 3 Health & Social Care qualification that is not accepted as equivalent to the Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
- Your experience is solely within healthcare, nursing homes, supported living, domiciliary care, adult services, schools, nurseries or other CQC-regulated services.
- You require sponsorship now or in the future.
Individuals with only CQC experience and / or who have not worked in an Ofsted Registered Children’s Home will not be considered.
