Established in 2022, Fish at 55 is a thriving, fast-paced restaurant dedicated to delivering great food and exceptional service. We're looking for a skilled, reliable Waiter/Waitress to join our close-knit front-of-house team and become the heart of our guests dining experience! In this lively role, you will be the friendly face that welcomes guests, takes their orders with enthusiasm, and ensures every visit is memorable. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a positive attitude
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations to upsell menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, menus, and service stations throughout shifts
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation, serving, and handling
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Assist in setting up dining areas before service and resetting after closing shifts
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in a busy, high standard restaurant
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest services with a friendly, energetic approach
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic maths skills
- Experience with seafood and sushi is a plus, though not essential
- Time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
- Familiarity with serving procedures, food safety regulations, and basic culinary concepts is advantageous
Pay: Minimum wage + generous share of the service charge. Weekly pay.
