We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and adaptable Peripatetic Care Worker to provide high-quality care and support across our domiciliary care service and residential care homes.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys meeting new people, working with different teams and providing person-centred care in a range of settings. You will be deployed according to the operational needs of our services, helping to maintain safe staffing and continuity of care.
Your responsibilities will include
- Providing respectful, person-centred care in customers’ own homes and within our residential care homes;
- Supporting people with personal care while maintaining their privacy, dignity and independence;
- Assisting with mobility, nutrition, hydration and meaningful activities;
- Supporting individuals with medication in accordance with their care plans, training and company procedures;
- Observing and reporting changes in a person’s health, wellbeing or needs;
- Maintaining accurate and timely care records;
- Following individual care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures;
- Providing reassurance and companionship;
- Working effectively with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals;
- Responding flexibly to staffing requirements across different services; and
- Promoting choice, independence and positive outcomes for the people we support.
About you
We are looking for someone who:
- Is kind, patient and committed to delivering excellent care;
- Can adapt confidently to different care settings, teams and working practices;
- Is dependable, organised and able to work independently;
- Understands the importance of dignity, confidentiality and safeguarding;
- Is willing to work flexibly according to the needs of our services;
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a suitable vehicle
- Has previous care experience and a relevant care qualification, although training will be provided for the right applicant
