Hours: 20–40 hours per week (depending on service needs)
Pay: £12.75 - £18.00 per hour
Driving Licence: Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle required

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with a range of complex needs, helping individuals achieve greater independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
You will support individuals living in supported accommodation and within the community, ensuring they receive respectful, safe, and tailored support that promotes choice, dignity, independence, and inclusion.
About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide support to individuals with a variety of needs, including:
- Learning disabilities
- Autism spectrum conditions
- ADHD
- Cerebral palsy
- Mental health needs
- Complex support needs
- Behaviours that may present challenges
You will work closely with individuals to understand their goals, support their daily routines, and encourage the development of skills that improve their quality of life and independence.
Pay Rates
Support Worker Pay: £12.50 - £18.00 per hour
Before Completion of Probation:
- Weekdays: £12.75 per hour
- Weekends: £13.00 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £17.00 per hour
- Sleeping Night: £60 per night
After Completion of Probation:
- Weekdays: £13.00 per hour
- Weekends: £13.25 per hour
- Bank Holidays: £18.00 per hour
- Sleeping nights: £60 per night
Key ResponsibilitiesPerson-Centred Support
- Provide personalised support based on individual needs, preferences, and support plans.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice, and respect at all times.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with individuals.
- Encourage personal growth, confidence, and community involvement.
Daily Living Support
- Support individuals with daily living activities including:
- Cooking and meal preparation
- Cleaning and household tasks
- Shopping and budgeting
- Developing independent living skills
- Provide personal care support where required.
- Ensure individuals live in a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
Health and Wellbeing Support
- Provide emotional support and encouragement.
- Support medication administration in line with training, policies, and individual care plans.
- Monitor health and wellbeing and report concerns appropriately.
- Follow safeguarding procedures, risk assessments, and support plans.
Community Access Support
- Support individuals to attend appointments and access community services.
- Encourage participation in social activities, hobbies, education, volunteering, and work opportunities.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and meaningful community involvement.
Supporting Positive Behaviour
- Respond calmly and professionally to behaviours that may challenge.
- Follow positive behaviour support strategies.
- Maintain safety while promoting dignity and respect.
- Record and report incidents appropriately.
Essential Skills and Knowledge
Applicants should have:
- Understanding of safeguarding principles and procedures.
- Awareness of autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, and mental health needs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm, patient, and consistent under pressure.
- A caring, respectful, and person-centred approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in supported living, domiciliary care, healthcare, or social care.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Experience managing or supporting behaviours that may challenge.
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support approaches.
- Relevant health and social care qualifications.
