Job Summary
Supreme Recruitment are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical/Electrical (Electrical Bias). You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production by delivering high-quality maintenance, fault finding, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
With a strong electrical bias, you will use your expertise across electrical systems, PLCs, robotics, servo motors, drives, CNC machinery, and automated production lines to minimise downtime and maintain high standards of equipment reliability.

Responsibilities
- Support and provide technical guidance to Maintenance Engineers and TPM Engineers in their day-to-day activities.
- Work closely with technical support, TPM, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to ensure effective maintenance and production support.
- Carry out routine preventative and reactive maintenance on automated production lines, manufacturing equipment, and facilities.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide effective technical support to minimise production downtime.
- Perform complex fault finding and diagnostics across electrical systems, robotics, PLCs, HMIs, CNC machinery, servo motors, and drives.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and use technical information to diagnose and resolve equipment faults.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability and production performance.
- Support the introduction and commissioning of new machinery and production equipment.
- Work with specialist equipment and automated manufacturing systems.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by promoting safe working practices and ensuring the correct use of PPE.
- Support 5C and TPM principles to maintain high standards of workplace organisation, housekeeping, and equipment performance.
- Ensure maintenance job sheets and records are completed accurately and entered into the maintenance database on a daily and weekly basis.
- Monitor consumable stock levels and ensure sufficient supplies are available to support maintenance activities.
- Provide support to associated departments as required to maintain efficient business operations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and increasing overall operational efficiency.
- Work independently and as part of a wider team to prioritise maintenance activities in line with production requirements and business priorities.
- Provide maintenance support during weekend and planned shutdown activities when required.
Skills
- Minimum of 5* years' experience* within a mechanical and electrical maintenance role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical bias with experience in industrial automation and manufacturing equipment.
- CNC machinery experience, covering both mechanical and electrical systems.
- PLC training and hands-on experience with PLC-controlled machinery.
- Experience working with servo motors and drives.
- Proven experience with Fanuc robotics.
- Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot using electrical drawings and schematics.
- HNC or higher qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across electrical, mechanical, PLC, robotics, and automated systems.
- Experience carrying out preventative maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
- Good understanding and awareness of health and safety requirements within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to work proactively using your own initiative while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise maintenance activities according to production needs and job urgency.
- Willingness and flexibility to work a double-day shift pattern, with additional support for weekend and planned shutdown maintenance as required.

Working Hours
This position operates on a double-day shift pattern:
- Week 1: 6:00am–2:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 6:00am–11:00am on Friday
- Week 2: 2:00pm–10:00pm, Monday to Thursday, and 11:00am–4:00pm on Friday
Additional weekend and planned shutdown maintenance support may be required.
