Overview
This is a non-permanent zero-hours role, with no guaranteed minimum hours and work will be offered according to business needs. As a Zero Hours Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Mary Ann’s Retail Operations.
You will support our retail teams by providing cover, as required, at any of our 6 retail shops. This may include opening and closing the shop, assisting with sorting, pricing, and displaying donated goods, ensuring that the shop maintains high standards of presentation and customer service. By helping maximise sales and efficiency, your contribution directly supports the hospice’s mission to provide care and support for our community. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, initiative, and a passion for sustainability and charity work.
The Hospice is supported by a retail portfolio of charity shops and an active online presence selling a variety of new and donated quality goods. Profits raised from our shops play a vital part in our income generation activities contributing to the £2.6 million per year it costs to deliver specialist palliative and end of life care in our communities.
