Overview
We are seeking a Garden Machinery Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of mechanical systems and basic electrical, enjoy working with tools, and be interested in maintaining and repairing garden equipment. Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs on a variety of garden machinery, including lawnmowers, robot lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, generators, and other outdoor power tools.
- Conduct routine maintenance to ensure equipment remains in optimal working condition.
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist in the testing of repaired equipment to verify proper operation before returning it to customers or stock.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times during repair work.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and stocked with necessary parts and tools.
Skills
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently.
- Proficiency in using hand tools.
- Experience with power tools including drills, grinders, and saws etc.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure repairs are completed accurately and safely.
- Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working with garden machinery or outdoor power equipment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate. Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
