Job Overview
We are seeking a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.
A position has become available due to long term ill health of one of our drivers.
Willing to take on new pass drivers & under 25’s as training will be given.
The job is general haulage, all curtain sider work, Monday-Friday.
Nights out are required, but they are paid.
1 driver 1 truck rule, we have a fleet of modern Volvos equipped with - inverter, microwave, aircon pod to keep you cool & safe at night.
Rates of pay can be discussed based on experience.
We are a family run business & we treat our drivers like people, not a number.
Must have good work ethic, & work well with others.
Truck is based in Scunthorpe, will not out base.
Responsibilities
- Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in compliance with all road safety laws and company policies
- Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any issues promptly
- Safely load, secure, and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols
- Deliver goods to specified destinations within designated timeframes, maintaining punctuality and professionalism
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Follow all driving regulations, including tachograph rules and hours of service regulations
- Assist with loading or unloading when required
Pay: £45,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
