About the Role
Our Early Help and Family Engagement Service works with children, young people and families to provide support at the earliest opportunity, helping to prevent difficulties from escalating.
As a Family Support Worker, you will:

Work directly with children, young people and families experiencing a range of challenges.
- Build trusted relationships that support lasting change.
- Complete Family Assessments of Need and contribute to family plans.
- Work alongside schools, health services, social care and partner agencies.
- Support families to develop resilience, confidence and practical solutions.
- Manage a varied caseload and help improve outcomes for children and young people.
- Provide advice, guidance and practical support that helps families achieve their goals.
We are Looking for Someone Who:
-
Has experience working directly with children, young people and families.
- Can engage and motivate families using a strengths-based approach.
- Has experience of, or the ability to develop skills in, assessment, planning and reviewing support with families.
- Understands safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Builds effective working relationships with professionals and partner agencies.
- Is resilient, reflective and committed to high-quality practice.
- Has the ability to identify strengths, needs and opportunities for change, and work alongside families to achieve positive outcomes.
