The Role
We are looking for a hands-on Small Tool Fitter / Driver to join our depot team. This is a dual-aspect role where you’ll spend the majority of your time in the workshop keeping customers high-performance machinery in peak condition, with occasional stints on the road to support our customers directly.
From Masonry Saws and Plate Compactors to Chainsaws and Lawnmowers, no two days are the same. You’ll be the go-to person for making sure customers equipment is safe, serviced, and ready for the site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Expert Maintenance: Handle the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection), servicing, and repair of a wide range of petrol, electric, and hydraulic machinery.
- Problem Solving: Diagnose faults and find efficient solutions for complex mechanical issues.
- Customer Support: Deliver and collect equipment, acting as a professional face for Red Band UK on the road.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the depot team to ensure the workshop runs like clockwork.
- Safety First: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For
- The Technical Touch: Previous engineering experience with small tools or plant machinery is highly desirable.
- Independence: Someone who can work through a job list without constant supervision, but knows when to ask for a second opinion.
- Licensing: A valid UK Driving Licence is essential. (A B+E Trailer License is a huge plus, but we still want to hear from you if you don't have it!).
- Mindset: A calm head under pressure and a pride in the quality of your repairs.
