We are looking for a full-time Digital Skills mentor working with children and young people from ages 7-19 in Marsh Barton, Exeter. This role will include working most weekends which a typical week being Wednesday-Sunday; however we have some rota flexibility for the right candidate. Only candidates with demonstrable digital and tech skills considered.

Player Ready offer's digital technological educational sessions to children and young people who have SEND/ASD/ADHD/PDA/SEMH needs. We work with children that are not attending school or attending part-time timetables on EHCPs/EOTAS or home educated.
Here at Player Ready we teach many different types of technology including coding, video creating/editing, stop animation, game design, 3D modelling, 3D printing. Our goal is to encourage a passion for learning while increasing confidence, self-esteem and wellbeing.
Responsibilities
- Provide mentoring and support to children in our Exeter venue
-Support the manager with admin duties
- Help to run our Saturday & Sunday coding clubs
- Assist with VR Parties & Experiences
- Adhere to strict safeguarding rules and procedures
- Uphold high standards in delivering our service with integrity and dedication
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, referring agencies and staff
- Work with children and young people using differential, inclusive learning methods and ensure their educational goals are met and wellbeing supported
- Work with our Post 16 young people
The successful candidate MUST have:
- A passion for working with children and young people
-Demonstratable skills in skills such as coding/AI/game design/video creation/digital art and a passion for mentoring
-Good understanding of games such as Minecraft and Roblox (or similar)
-Strong communication skills for interacting with parents, children and referring agencies
-Good organisational skills and the ability to write clear, appropriate progress notes
-The ability to work as a team and be flexible to the needs of the venue
-Have a good sense of humour and a 'can-do' attitude!
