Key responsibilities
- Drafting wills, LPAs and associated legal forms
- Witnessing wills and ensuring correct execution
- Managing the diary for, and providing day‑to‑day support to, the head of department
- Preparing and submitting probate applications (online and paper)
- Preparing IHT forms and submitting these to HMRC
- Assisting with contentious probate matters, which may include audio typing
- Dealing with clients by telephone and in person in a professional, empathetic manner
- Providing regular updates to clients and attending to any amendments to documents
About you
- Proven experience in wills and probate work as a paralegal or fee earner
- Solid understanding of probate procedures and IHT forms
- Confident drafting wills and LPAs with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients and managing sensitive matters
- Organised, proactive and able to work as part of a close‑knit team
