Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join our team in providing exceptional care within a care home environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting residents during overnight shifts, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Duties
- Provide high-quality personal care to residents, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility.
- Monitor residents' health and well-being throughout the night, recognising any changes or concerns and reporting them appropriately.
- Support residents with medication management in accordance with care plans.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive team environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including updates to individual care plans.
- Ensure the safety and security of residents by conducting regular checks of their environment.
- Assist with meal service and ensure residents' comfort during the night.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care delivery.
Skills
- Previous experience in senior care or a care home setting is highly desirable.
- Possess NVQ2/QCF Level 2 Diploma and be willing to work towards QCF Level 3 Diploma/NVQ3
- Supervising or leadership experience within a healthcare environment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and team members.
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs.
- IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- A caring attitude combined with organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- This role requires a committed individual who is passionate about delivering compassionate senior care during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to resident wellbeing.
Pay: £14.42 per hour

Licence/Certification:
