We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in accordance with established recipes and safety standards
- Support the catering team in preparing ingredients and organising kitchen stations
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Help serve meals to customers or guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Restock supplies and organise ingredients to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety guidelines to maintain a hygienic working environment
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong understanding of food preparation and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanour when serving customers or guests
- Willingness to learn new culinary techniques and adapt to team requirements
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety regulations
