Chef de Partie – The Nut Tree, Worle.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Chef to join the kitchen team at The Nut Tree - a busy, family-run, food led pub known for its fresh, seasonal British food and loyal following of returning customers.
About the Role:
Applicants must have experience working in a short-order, fresh food kitchen and be able to stay confident and composed during busy services. You’ll be comfortable working on your own but will also work well as part of our small, close-knit team.
We’re particularly interested in chefs with proven skill and confidence in at least one of the following areas:
- Fresh Fish
- Steaks and Grill
- Pastry and Desserts
- Pizza and outdoor cooking
As part of our family-run business, we actively encourage creativity and want chefs who can bring their own flair to the kitchen. You’ll work closely with the team to develop exciting new menus and daily specials that keep our customers coming back.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Cooking fresh, high-quality British pub dishes that make our customers smile.
- Remaining organised, clean, and efficient at all times.
- Bringing ideas to the table when it comes to menus and specials – we love creativity!
- Keeping food safety and hygiene at the top of your priorities.
- Supporting your fellow chefs – we’re all about teamwork, but you’ll also be confident flying solo when needed.
- Helping with stock control and making sure we keep waste to a minimum.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in a fresh food kitchen
- Confidence working independently as well as collaboratively
- Proficiency in all areas of kitchen work, with excellent time management
- Ability to work quickly, cleanly and to a high standard of food production
- Up-to-date knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety procedures (Level 2 qualification required)
- A catering qualification is desirable but not essential
- Flexible availability, including weekends – this is a must
