Dalston Hall is a busy and prestigious wedding venue and hotel, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences. We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Bar & Events / Wedding Support Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied role that combines bar service, cocktail preparation, stock management, and wedding support. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our bars while also assisting with the delivery of weddings, events, and guest experiences throughout the venue.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent organisational skills, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
Key ResponsibilitiesBar Operations
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and soft drinks.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation within all bar areas.
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with licensing regulations.
- Manage payment transactions accurately.
Stock Management
- Receive and put away deliveries efficiently.
- Replenish bar stock during service and ensure bars remain fully stocked at all times.
- Conduct regular stocktakes and assist with inventory control.
- Monitor stock levels and identify products requiring reordering.
- Assist management with beverage ordering and supplier communications.
- Minimise wastage and maintain accurate stock records.
Weddings & Events Support
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of wedding ceremonies, receptions, and private events.
- Support wedding coordinators and management teams with the smooth delivery of events.
- Help prepare event spaces, bars, and guest areas before functions.
- Provide excellent service to wedding couples and their guests throughout the day.
- Support other departments when required to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
General Duties
- Follow all health and safety, food hygiene, and company procedures.
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Assist colleagues across departments during busy periods.
- Report any maintenance, stock, or operational issues to management promptly.
RequirementsEssential
- Previous experience working in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.
- Confident preparing and serving cocktails and other beverages.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of lifting stock and carrying out manual handling tasks.
Desirable
- Experience within wedding venues, hotels, or event operations.
- Knowledge of stock control systems and stocktaking procedures.
- Personal Licence qualification.
- First Aid certification.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
