Senior DevOps EngineerJob Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure while driving automation and continuous delivery practices. You will work closely with Solution Architects and development teams to build and optimize cloud-native solutions, improve deployment processes, and ensure the reliability and performance of mission-critical applications. Duties
- Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform; experience with Terragrunt is an advantage.
- Build, optimize, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and secure software deployments.
- Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications using Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, deployments, and operational tasks using Python and/or Bash scripting.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance, uptime, and resource utilization while proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and production incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing long-term solutions.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver efficient DevOps solutions.
- Implement cloud security best practices and deployment strategies to reduce operational risks.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies, tools, and industry best practices to improve DevOps processes and platform capabilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, or Site Reliability Engineer (SRE).
- Strong hands-on experience managing AWS cloud infrastructure in production environments.
- Advanced knowledge of Terraform, including reusable modules and multi-environment infrastructure management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies and cloud automation.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and ArgoCD in production environments.
- Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines; experience with CircleCI is a plus.
- Proficiency in scripting using Python and/or Bash for automation.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure and applications.
- Understanding of cloud security principles, deployment strategies, and DevOps best practices.
- Experience with Azure, Terragrunt, Docker, Git/GitOps, or DevSecOps practices is desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams.
- Eligibility to obtain or hold UK Security Clearance (SC) is required.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
