Fire Alarm & Access Control Service Engineer
Salary: £50,000–£55,000 per year + Overtime + Company Vehicle
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Fire Alarm & Access Control Service Engineer to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality service and enjoys working across a variety of commercial and residential sites.
The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, fault-finding, maintenance, and remedial works on Fire Alarm, Access Control, and AOV (Automatic Opening Ventilation) systems. Full SE Controls training will be provided to expand your knowledge and expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain and fault-find on Fire Alarm, Access Control and AOV systems.
- Carry out remedial works and repairs to ensure systems remain compliant and fully operational.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance visits.
- Diagnose faults quickly and provide effective solutions.
- Complete accurate service reports using electronic reporting systems.
- Ensure all work complies with current British Standards and health & safety requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
- Participate in an on-call rota (if applicable).
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 3 years' experience servicing Fire Alarm systems.
- Experience with Access Control systems (Paxton, Hikvision, Videx & Comelit preferred).
- AOV experience is advantageous, although full SE Controls training will be provided.
- Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- FIA qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Self-motivated, reliable and able to work independently.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
