Pet Sitter (Overnight & Live-in Care)

We’re looking for a reliable, compassionate and professional Pet Sitter to join our growing team and provide exceptional overnight care for our clients’ beloved pets.

About the Role
As a Pet Sitter, you’ll stay overnight in clients’ homes, providing attentive, loving care while maintaining each pet’s normal daily routine. Our goal is to make every pet feel safe, relaxed and cared for in their own familiar environment.
Assignments range from one-night stays through to two-week bookings, depending on the client’s needs.
You’ll care for a variety of animals including:
- Dogs
- Cats
- Rabbits
- Guinea pigs
- Birds
- Other small household pets
Your responsibilities may include:
- Feeding and fresh water
- Dog walking (where required)
- Administering medication (if appropriate)
- Playtime and enrichment
- Providing companionship throughout the day
- Keeping the home clean and tidy
- Sending daily photo and message updates to owners
- Following detailed care instructions and maintaining each pet’s routine
Many of our dogs are used to having company throughout the day, so this role is ideally suited to someone who works remotely, studies from home, or has a flexible part-time schedule that allows them to spend the majority of the day with the pets.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about animal care and welfare
- Experienced caring for both dogs and cats
- Calm, patient and compassionate
- Honest, reliable and highly trustworthy
- Comfortable staying overnight in clients’ homes
- Able to work independently and use good judgement
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- A confident communicator with both clients and the office team
- Happy to follow detailed care plans exactly
- Physically fit enough for dog walking in all weather
- Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle
- Willing to undergo a DBS check
Previous professional pet care experience is an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate with excellent animal handling skills and a genuine love of pets.
