Job Title: CAD Technician

Role:
We are looking for a motivated CAD Technician to join our team. You will be involved in:
- Creating GA drawings, fabrication details and assembly drawings.
- Creating accurate 3D models for metalwork projects.
- Amending technical drawings based on fabrication requirements.
- Producing documentation for production.
- Supporting the workshop team to ensure correct fabrication and installation.
- Feeding improvement ideas back to senior management.
- Occasionally attending customer visits as technical support.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and problem solving.
- Maintaining drawing revisions and ensure information is controlled.
Requirements:
- Experience in Solidworks preferred but other 3D software considered.
- Shop floor background desirable.
- Understanding of engineering materials, manufacturing and fabrication and processes.
- Able to work independently, hit deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Experience in lifting equipment or similar industries desirable.
- Familiarity with standards and regulations desirable.
Notes:
- Long term development through progression opportunities to become a Design Engineer.
- All levels of experience with some CAD experience will be considered.
- Able to reliably commute to Birmingham city centre.
- Immediate start.
