About You:
- BACP Accredited, UKCP registered, BPC registered, or hold an equivalent recognised counselling qualification.
- Minimum of two years' experience working with children and young people.
- Strong understanding of the emotional, social, developmental and educational needs of young people.
- Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and local mental health support services, including CAMHS.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Able to work independently, manage a caseload effectively and maintain confidential records.
- Positive, empathetic and committed to supporting the wellbeing of students and staff.
The Role:
- Provide confidential counselling services for students and employees.
- Assess individual needs and deliver appropriate counselling interventions and support.
- Facilitate meetings and counselling sessions following referrals and identified need.
- Prioritise urgent safeguarding and child protection concerns and act appropriately.
- Support staff wellbeing by helping colleagues manage workplace challenges and resilience.
- Maintain accurate, secure and confidential counselling records in line with professional standards.
- Attend clinical supervision and follow BACP ethical frameworks and school policies.
