The Role:
Avantguard are recruiting for a security officer providing day cover on mobile patrol shifts, static security shifts and daytime office support duties or evening shifts.
Mobile and support shifts start from our office in Arundel where you will collect your vehicle and equipment.
Static shifts will be security duties on a variety of sites in Littlehampton, Bognor Regis, Chichester and Brighton.
- £13.50 up to £14.15
- All necessary uniform, equipment and training provided
Duties
Full training will be provided for all roles.
Your duties may include:-
- Carrying out external site patrols
- Carrying out internal site patrols
- Locking and unlocking buildings
- Responding to intruder and CCTV alarms
- Working to a timetable for certain tasks
- Planning of own workload to ensure duties are carried out within time windows
- Ensuring that buildings are secure through checking windows, doors and vulnerable areas
- Carrying out and recording a variety of tasks using a phone/PDA app
- Auditing assets and equipment
- Producing important security and safety reports for our clients
Essential Qualifications:
- Driving Licence (valid in UK for manual vehicles)
- SIA Licence (valid for Security Guarding work)
- Good standard of written and spoken English for report writing
- 5 Year verifiable work/unemployment history or back to school/college
- Due to shift lengths, we will not be able to consider applicants who would need to travel more than 30 minutes to any of our sites in West and East Sussex. Please ensure your Indeed records are up to date with your current residential location.

PLEASE NOTE: - This successful candidate for this role will be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and subsequent approval. This will be arranged and funded by Avantguard Security Ltd and conducted through Disclosure Services. The requirement for the Enhanced DBS Disclosure is because the role involves some work at schools / colleges.
