We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Administrator to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of the planning and coordination of logistics movements across Evergreen and third-party distribution sites, supporting the Warehouse and Inventory Manager to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
This is a fast-paced position suited to someone with strong attention to detail, great communication skills, and a passion for logistics and supply chain operations.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule and manage all inbound and outbound deliveries, ensuring site capacity is optimised
- Forecast transport requirements based on production plans and liaise with hauliers to secure the best rates
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and manage transport cost queries
- Identify the most efficient and cost-effective logistics solutions, including international deliveries
- Build and plan loads for external storage, international warehouses, and direct customer deliveries
- Prepare and manage all dispatch documentation (e.g. despatch notes, DGN, CMR, COO certificates)
- Maintain accurate records in SAP and Excel, supporting KPI reporting
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, European sites, suppliers, and customers
- Support the Warehouse and Inventory team with task allocation and operational coordination
- Assist with stock control processes, including cycle counts and discrepancy investigations
- Support purchase order processes and supplier follow-ups
- Carry out safety and logistics vehicle audits in line with schedules
- Manage customs documentation and resolve any related issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement by building strong cross-functional relationships
About you
We’re looking for someone who is meticulous, self-motivated, and thrives working as part of a team.
Essential:
- GCSEs (including Maths and English at Grade 4 or above)
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Due to the location of our site on the outskirts of Howden candidates must have their own transport.
Desirable:
- Experience using WMS and/or SAP systems
- FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
- Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or supply chain role
