Carney Construction are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for our site at Banbury OX17 2HL
Working with J. Carney Construction and forming a part of the Commercial team,
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assist the commercial team in providing support to the contract delivery team to ensure the profitability, cash management, cost control and accurate reporting of all schemes. Your role will require you to:
- Input into the application and credit control processes · Understanding of income forecast and pricing of variations · Understanding of the change control system · Understanding of project risk · Understanding of the production of CVRs · Understanding of CTC · Understanding the production of forecasting data · Understanding the costing process · Understanding the management of the full sub-contract cycle and input into sub-contract documentation · Assisting with weekly cost to complete/budget reviews with the contract delivery teams.
- Upload documentation as and when necessary, in line with business requirements · Review weekly site records including allocation sheets and site diaries.
- Attend project progress meetings.
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial performance reports Gain experience outside of the commercial function to better understand the role of the business and the quantity surveyor within the business.

- Ensure that the companies commercial policies are adhered to and that the requirements of legislation are met
- Manage commercial performance against business targets and KPI’s

- Promote a culture of integration, continuous improvement, and use of best practice across the client base
- Assisting with the use of key lean tools to drive efficiencies and reduce waste
