Feed Mill Manufacturing Operator
Location: Shotts, Lanarkshire
Hours: 8 hour shifts over Day / Back / Night Shift Rotation, from January to April there will be the occasional Saturday day shift required

We are looking for a Feed Mill Manufacturing Operator to join our busy production team at Davidsons Animal Feeds.
This is a hands-on role within a highly automated manufacturing environment, operating and monitoring modern feed mill machinery and computerised control systems.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring feed is manufactured safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
The Role
Our manufacturing process is highly automated, so you must be confident using computers and computerised control systems. You will be responsible for monitoring the production process, identifying issues and making adjustments to keep the mill running efficiently.
Key responsibilities include:
- Operating and monitoring highly automated feed mill machinery and computerised control systems.
- Monitoring production processes and making adjustments where required.
- Carrying out routine machinery and process checks.
- Undertaking basic fault-finding and identifying potential problems.
- Identifying and reporting mechanical and electrical faults.
- Assisting with cleaning, maintenance and general upkeep of the mill.
- Completing production records, checks and paperwork accurately.
- Following all company health & safety, quality and production procedures.
- Working closely with colleagues to achieve production targets and maintain efficient operation of the mill.
About You
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical, mechanically minded and confidently computer literate, with a genuine interest in machinery, engineering and manufacturing.
Previous experience within a feed mill, manufacturing, agriculture, engineering or production environment would be advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right person.
An understanding of electrical systems, engineering, machinery, automated control systems or basic fault-finding would be a distinct advantage.
You should have:
