Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and commercially-minded Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in the Paddington office. In this critical role, you will partner closely with senior leadership to align our HR initiatives with business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor on all people-related matters, driving talent strategy, fostering a high-performance culture, and ensuring we continue to attract, retain, and develop top talent in the competitive sports tech landscape
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, providing strategic HR guidance and coaching to support the achievement of business goals.
Talent Management & Succession Planning: Lead talent reviews, identify high-potential employees, and develop robust succession plans to build bench strength across the organization.
Organizational Development: Partner with business leaders to design and implement organizational structures that optimize efficiency, agility, and performance.
Employee Relations: Handle complex employee relations issues with empathy, fairness, and a deep understanding of UK employment law, mitigating risk while maintaining a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Champion our continuous performance management processes, empowering managers to provide meaningful feedback, set clear goals, and address underperformance effectively. Engagement & Culture: Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), and reinforce our core values within the Paddington office and beyond.
Data-Driven Insights: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to identify trends, inform decision making, and measure the impact of HR programs on business outcomes. Change Management: Guide leaders and teams through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication.
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years operating as a Senior HRBP or in a similar strategic role.
Previous experience in the technology, data analytics, or sports industry is highly desirable. Subject Matter Expertise
Deep understanding of UK employment law and best practices in employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
Commercial Acumen
Strong business acumen with the ability to connect HR strategies to commercial outcomes. Communication Skills
Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge and advise senior leaders.
Analytical Skills
Proficiency in using HR data to tell a story and drive actionable insights.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business
